These shorts are very cute and quite discreet for padded shorts! I appreciate having the extra cushion for falls since I am 41 years old and new to skate parks. The padding is on the rear and the sides.
I am 5'5" and 110 lbs. I first ordered the Medium and it did fit but was a little big on me, so I exchanged them for the Small. The small fits well, though is on the snug side. Either size would have worked for me, depending on whether I preferred more fitted or was ok with them being looser and folding over the band. The shorts are quite comfortable, I can move well in them, and I'm grateful for the added security for falls.

Cute idea - the over shorts on the medium didn't seem to cover the under shorts correctly. Or I needed a large, not sure. I'm 5'6, 140 lbs and usually a sm or medium fits. Had to return. I do have the Bum Saver short shorts. Those work great with athletic shorts over them.
