The added protection built into the Deep Cover helmet is what drew me to the purchase. As a 60+ skater (board), i need and wear all the protective equipment I can get my hands on. Following the fit guide, I purchased the LG/XL as my head was a size 59 cm, and that helmet size was for 57-60 cm with an ample supply of different sized pads and “shims” to lock in the fit. In the end, my head did not agree with that size (after 5-6 sessions wearing it) so the excellent customer service at T8 promptly got me the next size up. Experimented with the pads snd shims and the fit is spot on-this helmet locks on, and stays put. Haven’t taken a header yet (and hoping I won’t!) but I trust this helmet in the event I do. Great product, excellent finishing work on the interior, exterior, straps and clips.
The fit wasn’t for me following the guidelines, but not every head is shaped the same and will have the same fit as the guidelines-“fits most”. Very impressed with the follow up customer service from Triple 8 on the replacement helmet.
Purchased a red helmet and received it fast but was the wrong size. They immediately responded to a request to exchange and sent a new helmet out. Helmut is perfect.
Fantastic helmet. Fits great. The extra foam Velcro allows it to be fitted perfectly. Looks cool too!
Beautiful helmet. Keeps my noggin safe. Has already gotten some scratches from simply setting it down on hard surfaces which is too bad.
I bought one of these to replace the Certified Sweatsaver I managed to crack. I like the hinge system, and the pads to adjust the fit are really nice. My head is longer than wide so without them I end up with too much pressure front/rear or else a loose fit. With the shims I can get a nice even fit all around, and the hinge keeps it that little bit snug without being tight.
Having taken a huge hit with my last helmet I also feel confident the safety factor is there.
